We, Ryan and Darcy, formed a partnership called R&D Framing in January 2007. We worked closely with custom homebuilders in Abbotsford for several years, focusing on wood framing and concrete work. Through those many years, we gained invaluable experience and a working knowledge of the entire home building process. We quickly learned the importance of building healthy relationships with homeowners, clients, trades, City staff, and how to navigate the construction preferences for each unique homebuilder. But we were often discouraged to see poor quality in the industry and common scheduling delays that seemed avoidable. We began to form a vision for how we might approach building homes of our own. Thus, two key values emerged for us: quality and efficiency. We believed we could build a high-quality home within the best possible timeframe, and we are thankful for the foundational experience and insight we gleaned over our many years framing together.
In 2014, we officially ventured into the home building industry when R&D Framing became Element Pacific Homes. Our skillset grew to include demolitions, renovations, design, project management, budgeting, and creative problem solving. Construction delays are costly, so we actively work to avoid and minimize them. We deeply understand the value in managing project timelines effectively while maintaining the highest quality possible. To date, we have never had a home warranty claim on any of our projects, which validates our high standards and careful attention to detail.
Along the way, we’ve discovered that client relationships are very important to us. We have built a reputation of being reliable and trustworthy by maintaining transparent open lines of communication at every stage of the building process. Darcy is a Licensed Residential Builder and has deep knowledge and experience of both construction and site management since he started in the industry in 1990. Darcy brings a wealth of understanding to the planning, budgeting, and permitting phases of our projects. He is kind, straightforward, and level-headed. Our clients can fully trust in his extensive capabilities.
Ryan’s skillset is with construction management, scheduling trades, trouble shooting, and ensuring that our projects adhere to our tight timelines. Excellence is extremely important to him, which is evident in his careful attention to every detail.
