This was the first custom home we built on Eagle Summit, and it set the tone for everything that followed on the mountain. A home designed for two people who knew exactly how they wanted to live in it, built in a location that doesn’t make anything easy.
The clients wanted something simple and well-crafted: a craftsman-style home sized right for the two of them, with space for family when they visited. The interior priority was openness. High vaulted ceilings in the living area were central to the design, creating a sense of space and light that makes the home feel larger than its footprint. It’s the kind of architectural detail that requires getting the structure right from the ground up, and it shapes how the whole home feels to be in.
The clients had a specific request for their upper-level sitting area: a patio built directly into the roof, with a pebbled floor for a natural aesthetic. That surface also had to function as a weather barrier for the garage below it, meaning the waterproofing had to be carefully engineered so that the decorative finish and the protective function worked together. Getting the drainage right in a space like that takes precise planning. We also addressed the same snow infiltration challenge we’ve managed on every Eagle Mountain build, specifying and installing roof and soffit vents designed to prevent snow from finding its way into the attic during the mountain’s heavy winters.

Ryan handled all aspects of the construction at each stage and provided valuable feedback and explanations during the duration of the construction.
Sharon scheduled appointments with all suppliers and provided good advice on plumbing fixtures, flooring, cabinets, windows, railings and doors.
All trades were organized and scheduled flawlessly, resulting in a completion date that was one month earlier than planned. Their team also included Graham and Steve who provided a lot of attention to detail. The group as a whole ensured that we were not only satisfied but were happy to make any last minute changes or improvements. The overall relationship over the period of five months was not only professional but also highly personable. We would recommend this builder without hesitation.
