Eagle Summit 2 Custom Home Build Project in Abbotsford

How the Eagle Summit 2 Custom Home Project Came Together

Not every home we build starts with a specific client in mind. Sometimes we take on a project knowing we need to anticipate what buyers will want and then deliver something that exceeds their expectations before they’ve even walked through the door. That was the challenge and the opportunity with this spec home on Eagle Mountain.

The Vision

We wanted to explore a more contemporary direction with this one. Ultra-modern design was having a real moment, and we felt it was the right fit for the setting and the market. The interior leans into clean lines and thoughtfully chosen materials, including wood products selected for their visual warmth. One of the details we’re most proud of is the barn wood accent work in the living room and master bedroom. The wood came from a local barn that was being torn down nearby, which gave the space a genuinely grounded, regional character that you simply can’t replicate with manufactured materials.

Challenges & How We Solved Them

Like every Eagle Mountain build, the weather had to be planned for carefully. But this project had an additional layer of complexity: it sat on a corner lot, which meant two sides of the home faced the road. Curb appeal couldn’t just be an afterthought on the front elevation. Every exterior detail had to work from multiple angles. We also held ourselves to a higher standard on this build deliberately. Other builders were putting up spec homes in the same area at the same time, and we wanted ours to stand apart. That meant choosing premium products and putting in the extra effort at every stage to make sure what we delivered was genuinely better than what was around it.
