Some homes present straightforward challenges. Others ask you to think ahead at every turn. This custom home on Eagle Mountain was one that required careful planning from the very beginning, not just because of what the clients envisioned, but because of where they wanted to build it.
The clients came to us with a clear picture in mind: a traditional craftsman-style exterior with a clean, uncluttered interior. It’s a combination that takes real discipline to execute well. The warmth and character of craftsman detailing on the outside, paired with a calm, modern simplicity on the inside, demands attention to how those two aesthetics meet at the threshold. We worked closely with the clients to make sure every detail honoured both sides of that vision.
Building on the top of Eagle Mountain means building in one of the more demanding environments in the Fraser Valley. The elements up there are not forgiving. Wind is a constant factor during construction, which meant every wall and every truss had to be properly braced before we moved on. Construction materials had to be secured carefully so nothing ended up somewhere it shouldn’t. We also had to plan for the long term. Eagle Mountain gets significant snowfall, and snow has a way of finding its way into attic spaces through standard venting. To prevent that, we specified and installed special soffits and roof vents designed to keep snow out during the winter months. It’s the kind of detail that isn’t visible once the home is finished, but it matters every single winter.
Element Pacific has built us a beautiful family home. We had looked for a home for quite some time but nothing compared to the house we built with Element Pacific.
Ryan and Darcy are a great team with friendly and hardworking staff. Sharon was helpful with all of the appointments and was great at keeping the process pleasurable instead of stressful. Graham, Steve and Jason are an incredibly hard working crew. They are all so friendly and worked tirelessly to have our house finished before the completion date. Ryan and Darcy were in constant contact with us, and checked-in every step of the way. Ryan made sure every job was done to perfection and would always touch base to ensure we were happy. We were informed of every appointment and were welcomed to be at even the smallest of jobs. Ryan and Darcy take great pride in their company and it shows in their craftsmanship.
Building our house with Element Pacific exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled to be in our new home. All of our friends and family that have stopped in have fallen in love with our home as much as we have. Thank you to everyone at Element Pacific!
